Our Story

WFF began in early 2024 with a simple conversation in a coffee shop and has since evolved into a cross-sector initiative aiming to address challenges and champion opportunities in Buckinghamshire’s furniture sector. Our founder, Peter Spence, brings experience from leading regional design forums and has gathered a dynamic group of advisors and experts to move the vision forward.

Why We Exist:

The local furniture industry, once a cornerstone of High Wycombe, still employs hundreds and has huge potential. But it needs support, innovation, and a united voice. WFF is here to bridge gaps between businesses, educators, and policymakers to ensure this sector thrives.

Who We Work With:

  • Local and national furniture manufacturers

  • Universities, colleges, and schools

  • Local authorities and regeneration groups

  • Business support agencies and trade bodies

  • Interior and furnishings sector professionals

Our Leadership:

Chairman Peter Hearn, Treasurer Helen Pethybridge and Secretary Peter Spence lead a management committee drawn from business and education.

An Expert Panel includes leaders in sustainability, media, apprenticeships, education, branding and more.
